#3 Gabriel
Brazilian defender Gabriel has been a beast for Arsenal since returning from injury this season. The centre-back has been a rock at the back and has struck up an impressive partnership with Ben White.
The Brazilian's return has coincided with Arsenal becoming more resilient in defense. Gabriel has been strong in the air and in the tackle. The defender has put in strong performances in every game so far and has kept three clean-sheets in the four games he's played this season.
Mikel Arteta will need Gabriel to stay fit throughout the season as the Brazilian has been an integral part of Arsenal's defense this season and is expected to continue to be.
#2 Takehiro Tomiyasu
One of Arsenal's new signings this season, Takehiro Tomiyasu, has been very impressive in his first few games for the club. The defender was brought in to replace Hector Bellerin and has done so with aplomb so far.
Tomiyasu has taken to the Premier League like a duck to water, and has shown he can be dependable in the right-back position. His energy and dynamism at right-back is invaluable to the Arsenal side. The Japan international has already become the subject of adoration from fans, particularly with his performance against Spurs, where he basically nullified the threat of Heung-min Son.
Tomiyasu was also voted Arsenal's Player of the Month for September and is sure to just keep getting better from here on out.
#1 Aaron Ramsdale
Many questioned Arsenal signing Aaron Ramsdale earlier this summer, but the Englishman has silenced his doubters with his performances for the club so far.
Ramsdale has essentially usurped the no. 1 spot from Bernd Leno with his amazing performances in goal for Mikel Arteta's side. The shot-stopper has pulled off some brilliant saves this season and has also shown his capability on the ball. The Englishman looks the real deal and is set to start in goal for the Gunners throughout the rest of the campaign.
Ramsdale's performances this season also earned him a call-up to Gareth Southgate's England squad for the recent 2022 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers. If the goalkeeper continues in this vein of form, he could be key for both club and country come the end of the season. Given Ramsdale's age, the Englishman seems set to be Arsenal's no. 1 for many years to come.
