#3 Raphaël Varane
A win, an assist and a clean sheet. Not too bad a performance on his Manchester United debut, eh? Raphaël Varane's critics may have hoped for him to take some time to adjust to United's backline. However, he looked right at home alongside club captain Harry Maguire.
Confident while sliding in against the quick Wolves attackers, Varane was a vocal presence at the back while organizing United's defense. He was also a commanding presence at the back to counter the opposition's chances.
Varane looked everything like a seasoned campaigner in United's win over Wolves. Dubbed as Mr. Champions League by his new supporters, he'll surely hope these are the first of many strong performances to come for his new team.
#2 Mason Greenwood
Consistency is key, they say. In all three of Manchester United's games in the Premier League so far, there's been one extremely consistent player - Mason Greenwood. The youngster has scored a goal in each of United's matches so far, regardless of the opposition.
A drilled finish across the face of goal from the tightest of angles allowed Greenwood to beat the new Wolverhampton keeper José Sá, and give his team the all-important winning goal. The goal and the subsequent victory put Manchester United 3rd on the Premier League table - a comfortable position to be in heading into the international break.
#1 David De Gea
For the second time this month, since Premier League football got underway, we have found a myriad of reasons to mention David De Gea at the top of this list. He topped a similar list following Manchester United's match against Southampton and now, he's topped this one as well. On merit, of course.
Another matchday, another standout David De Gea performance to register the club's first clean sheet of the season. He also pulled off an impeccable double-save to deny Wolves defender, Romain Saïss, to mark the victory.
With every passing game, De Gea has surely looked like a player at the peak of his powers (once again). His critics dubbed this as potentially his last year at Old Trafford due to sub-par performances in recent seasons. However, they could well and truly be forced to eat their words if he continues in this regard.
Ground-breaking saves, exceptionally quick reaction times and performances that give your team all three points - this is what David De Gea has stood for in his 10 years for the Red Devils. A man on a quest to become his former self, David De Gea looks like he could make this his comeback season.
