#8. Shinji Kagawa
Shinji Kagawa is another player who has suffered a similar fate as Sahin. The Japanese international was once key to Dortmund’s success before leaving the club for what then looked like greener pastures.
Kagawa won two titles with Dortmund during his stay there. In the 2010/11 season, despite missing half the season due to an injury, he scored eight times and assisted another in 18 league games.
The following season, he scored 13 and assisted 8 in 32 league games as Dortmund were crowned champions again.
He moved to Manchester United that summer but his dream move didn’t work out well despite winning a league title in his first season. Eventually, he returned to Dortmund in 2014 and has been with the club since although he is not a regular starter like he used to be.
