A new lease of life

When Jose Mourinho isn’t happy with a player, it doesn’t mean that the situation can’t be changed, despite what we have seen with Paul Pogba and Anthony Martial thus far.

One of the prime examples of that is Luke Shaw. The left-back wasn’t among the group of players that was trusted by Mourinho but now finds himself on the good books of the former Porto tactician.

Despite his good performances, however, he won’t be rushed into signing a new deal, according to Mirror. His current contract ends in 2019 and he won’t extend it unless he has an absolute guarantee that the club sees him as a long-term option for the position.
