2. Vinicius Jr's lack of end product
There was plenty of positive play from the Brazilian youngster against Mallorca, so much so that most of Real Madrid's attacks featured him alongside Karim Benzema and James Rodriguez. Yet, his performance left plenty to desire.
Vinicius Jr. was repeatedly able to take on his man and go past him, but his end product in terms of shooting and crossing was incredibly poor. He failed to pick out any team-mates from the left flank, even when he was able to penetrate the box. Further, when he was able to find a gap and appear close to scoring, his shots would end up being tame or woefully wide.
Perhaps the youngster will improve over time, but Madrid need him to find his next level quickly or they risk falling down the pecking order pretty quickly.
