3. No big chances
The home team had only one shot on target and managed to score with it. Meanwhile Real Madrid registered 12 shots and 4 of them were on target, but none really troubled Manolo Reina in RCD Mallorca's goal.
Lago Junior's goal was born out of his ability to stand Odriozola up and curl the ball around him such that by the time Thibaut Courtois had seen it, the reaction was too late. It was a moment of magic that you just have to chalk off as a great goal and pursue one of your own.
Real Madrid have been able to do that effectively in the past, but failed to do so against Mallorca.
Zinedine Zidane's side failed to create any objectively good chances through the game. Benzema did hit the crossbar in the first half but that was from a difficult chance at best. Clear-cut chances were difficult to come by for Real Madrid.
