#3 Keylor Navas vs Sven Ulreich
The two players didn't face off personally, but it was game of two goalkeepers - and it was fitting that the better goalkeeper on the night ended up on the side going into the finals.
Sven Ulreich has been Bayern's shot-stopper for a long while now, and while he is not Manuel Neuer, he was considered an effective back-up to have. This was evident in the league games, as he helped Bayern walk away with the Bundesliga title yet again.
His fortune could not have been more different in this match. He had an absolute howler of a game - first when he refused to come out and catch the ball off Marcelo's cross that Benzema headed in for the opening goal.
The second goal was worse - Corentin Tolisso's loose ball found its way into the box and Ulreich rushed into the collect the ball, only to remember that he cannot pick the ball up from a back pass. His genius solution to this was simply to let the ball roll away, letting Benzema pounce on it with ease and poise.
On the other end of the pitch, Keylor Navas put in another one of his brave performances as he punched out every ball that dared to venture into his personal space. He also made a few fine saves on his own - most particularly the one he made in the final minutes off Tolisso.
Despite conceding two, Navas was far better than his Bayern counterpart in that Madrid would have conceded a lot more in his absence while, from the looks of it, Bayern would have conceded one fewer in Ulreich's absence.
