It looks like Real Madrid are eager to develop their brand name in the Middle East. In a press conference, their officials have announced that the Club is going to build an Island in the emirates of Ras Al-Khaimah by 2015.
The Island will cost approximately 1 billion dollars and it will include a 10,000 seater stadium, a theme park, hotels and what not. If built, the stadium will be the first one ever to face a sea.
Florentino Perez, President of Real Madrid said that the Island was an effort to increase their fan base in Middle East and also to increase tourism activities. The Island is only 45 minutes from the Dubai Airport.
