Juventus step up chase for David de Gea but are set to face competition for Paul Pogba
Juventus may have added Cristiano Ronaldo to their ranks earlier in the summer, but their quest for high-profile acquisitions will not stop there. The Serie A giants have been heavily linked with Manchester United duo, David de Gea and Paul Pogba.
Now, as per reports from The Sun, Juventus have reportedly met with de Gea's agent - Jorge Mendes, to try and thrash out a deal for the Spanish goalkeeper. Notably, Jose Mourinho had said that he was "not confident" of de Gea signing a new contract.
Meanwhile, reports from the Mirror claim that Juventus are set to face competition from Inter Milan for Paul Pogba's signature. According to the report, Inter's new CEO, Beppe Marotta, previously worked as a director at Juventus and wants to mark the start of his reign at Inter with Pogba's high-profile signing.
