Real Madrid fans have voted for the club to re-sign Alvaro Morata and keep him in the club as a vital first-team member. The Spaniard was sold to Juventus two summers ago for a deal rumoured to be around €20m and is widely rumoured to be close to a move back to the Spanish capital.
Having impressed in Turin, Morata was linked with a move to English giants, Arsenal, via Real Madrid. The Los Blancos were ready to buy Morata for around €30m and were ready to sell him to the Gunners for €50m – an unpopular move given Morata's influence in games at Juventus.
Real Madrid fans took to a poll conducted on AS's website and voiced their opinion insisting that they wanted the Spaniard to stay at the Bernabeu if he were to sign back in the summer and not have him sold off to another club. A massive 71.5 % were in favour of the Madrid youth product to stay and be a part of the squad of 2016 – 2017.
Morata has scored 8 goals and conributed 5 assists for Juventus this season in all competitions but more than those numbers can speak, Morata has been a driving force leading their attack. He has the uncanny ability of turning spectacularly with the ball and running into space activating his wingers and other centre-forwards.
While Real Madrid might boast of players like Cristiano Ronaldo, Gareth Bale and Karim Benzema, none of them are capable of playing as a succesful central striker who can turn, run and create space for his teammates. Ronaldo is a pure left winger and he'll remain there given his influence. The same can be said for Bale who had adapted his game a little to play on the right wing.
Benzema, meanwhile, has been involved in multiple off-field nuisances and is likely to be shipped out of the Bernabeu paving way for Morata to come back 'home'.
