Real Madrid have been handed a big boost ahead of their Tuesday Champions League clash against Liverpool as Gareth Bale could be fit in time to return to the squad.
The Welshman joined the team in training since missing the last four fixtures for Los Blancos due to a hip injury. He was in among the substitutes in the game against Levante on October 18 which Real won 5-0 but wasn’t used by manager Carlo Ancelotti. From then on, he has sat out of three consecutive fixtures against Liverpool, Barcelona and Granada.
But Bale took part in the team’s final training session before they take on the Reds on Tuesday night.
A statement on Real’s official website read, "Bale joined the group for the week's last training session, during which Cristiano Ronaldo and Marcelo worked alone and performed running drills out on the pitch,"
"Bale completed a series of demanding dribbling, passing and shooting circuits."
With Isco and James Rodriguez performing so well in his absence, it will be interesting to see how Ancelotti slots his most expensive player back into the team.
