Real Madrid Needs to Cover the Loopholes

Last season Real Madrid were leading the Liga BBVA and were clear favorite to win the League and bring down the reign of Guardiola’s Barcelona but all those hopes came tumbling down after the 5-0 loss at Camp Nou. After which Mourinho took the responsibility of the loss on him saying it to be his tactical blunder and promised to work harder than ever and give what every Madridista deserve. But yet again the loss at the hands of the rivals in the first leg of Champions League at the Bernabeu came as a big shock with Pepe sending off being given as a reason for the exit. At the same time I do agree the Blancos have worked hard and have actually come a long way with respect to what they were last season and this time ready to be a pain in the a**e of their Catalan rivals. The Super Copa 2nd Leg loss last Wednesday at the hand of the Catalan giants has again revealed few remaining loop holes in the game of the Los Merengues. So let’s look at few of those loopholes that I feel Mourinho needs to think of:

1. No Solution To Messi:

Pique does a back heel in the box and Messi converts it into a goal how can a defender do that, oh! He sure can because he knows if that ball touches Messi it would turn into gold. That’s not it Madrid have Carvalho, Pepe, Ramos and Marcelo in defense one of the best back line any team can have but Messi comes flying in to score the winner in 87th minute. If that doesn’t ring a bell FYI this little menace has scored 7 goals in last 5 matches at the Madrid home. No doubt he is best only when playing along Xavi and Iniesta but if you have a player of Messi’s caliber I believe you tie his one leg he would still dribble with only one leg. I know Barcelona is not all about Messi and many of the Madridista would want to kill me after I have written this but you got to agree he is a Maestro and hence sooner we accept this bitter fact the sooner Madrid will have a way to hold him off. One of the solution I feel that Madrid has is Ronaldo needs to raise his game to a whole new level I don’t say this because CR7 is anywhere less than Messi but I say this because of the unsaid connection between Iniesta, Xavi and Messi. For which Ozil and Di Maria have no choice but to raise their game also. 2. Mourinho Needs To Get His Act Together: What was Mourinho thinking when he went from behind and eye poked Tito Vilanova? Knowing Mourinho I don’t know was he thinking he wouldn’t get caught for god sake it’s a freaking digital world? And on top of the Mr. Mourinho you are the Manager of the biggest club in the world with the biggest follower all around the world and hence you are one of the most respected and followed guy in the world. Why give disappointment and bad name as a return gift? For the good of the club Mourinho needs to get his act together and see to that the spotlight is on his players beautiful game and not on him. No doubt Mourinho is right now one of the most powerful guy at Santiago Bernabeu but he better go and see Spiderman so that he at least understand “With Great Power Comes Great Responsibility”.

3. A ? On Madrid’s Defense:

As I said I believe and know Real Madrid has not only one of the best but one of the most trusted back line in world football. Guys like Carvalho, Ramos, Marcelo and Pepe it’s like a perfect blend of energy & experience but every time I see an El Clasico I feel the energy is directed in a wrong direction. When Madrid has such great defense why waste it with stupid lunges and unnecessary sliding scissor kick history is evidence to this, world’s best defenders have turned into legend by standing on their feet and channelizing their energy for the betterment of the defense. They have to understand all the hard work of the attackers shall go in vain if the team’s defense is not ready to support them and for god sake all matches can’t be won if you have only 10 players in your side. 4. Get Back To The original Galactico Policy: One of the major reason for Barcelona’s recent success is the success of their youth players coming from La Masia. Barcelona believes in giving chance to their youngsters and shaping them for the future along with the development of the first team. It’s high time we get back to the original Galactico policy which said buying a world class player and along which giving one of the Castilla a first team opportunity. Imagine what would have been Madrid’s team if they never had Butragueno, Iker Casillas, Raul or Guti and now imagine the team if we would have given a proper opportunity to players likes Samuel Eto’o, Juan Mata, Luis Garcia and Felipe Luis. I believe everything is still not lost with players like Pablo Sarabia, Jese Rodriguez, Jesus, Adan, Dani Carvajal, Joselu, Morata, Alex Fernandes and Nacho still part of the Castilla these guys are pool of talent give them a chance before they get hunted by other European big shots. I know many would disagree to what I have written but I know at the end of the day I feel for the club I have followed whole my life. I might be wrong in many of those words but I hope we bring back the Di Stefano days, because we as a Madridista deserve this. But after all this I am a happy Madridista even after the loss because I saw whats coming in this season. Hala Madrid !!
