Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has given the green light for the club to target Chelsea midfielder Ramires in the this transfer window.
Los Blancos’ manager Carlos Ancelotti named Ramires as one of his top transfer targets for this summer but the Real Madrid hierarchy was unsure of trying to sign a player who is considered vital for Chelsea.
However Marca report that the men in charge have now softened their stance and are prepared to back their manager in the market.
Ramires was brought to Stamford Bridge by Ancelotti in 2010 and since he joined the club he has flourished and established himself as a key player at the club.
However the report suggests that the midfielder, who is with his country for the World Cup, is keen for a change and would find it impossible to turn Madrid now. While reports indicate that Mourinho wants Real Madrid’s Sami Khedira.
The only problem with the transfer would appear to be Jose Mourinho who value Ramires highly due to his work-rate and versatility. Mourinho has proven himself to be a stubborn operator in the transfer market before and at the moment it remains to be seen whether the deal will be able to go through.
Despite only being on the pitch for eight minutes in Brazil’s 3-1 victory over Croatia Ramires still managed to register an assist, for Chelsea team-mate Oscar.
