Few days ago, Barcelona star Andres Iniesta stated in an interview that Jose Mourinho “did more harm than good to Spanish football.” The now-Chelsea boss spent three years at Real Madrid and on a number of occasions made comments in the media, accusing referees of favouring Barcelona.
Perez had this to say in response to the comments made by Iniesta and Xavi: “Iniesta is entitled to be wrong. It would appear appropriate for Xavi and Iniesta to be upset with Mourinho because in the last five games we’ve played they have not won any. So, of course they’re upset.”
“He was the coach who spent the most time with us. Of course, this can wear you down.”
Meanwhile Real Madrid are yet to find a replacement to Mourinho with news that the club have approached PSG boss Carlo Ancelotti.
