Florentino Perez addressing the media after Ronaldo signed a new contract with his club

Spanish giants Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has admitted that striker Karim Benzema could be up for sale in the January transfer window.

The French striker has had a forgettable season so far and is under constant scrutiny by manager Carlo Ancelotti as he even criticized the player publicly.

Perez said , “Karim is a great player and we get offers for him all the time, every summer. All I can say is that the coach is the one who has the authority to do what he believes is right.”

This gives a chance for Arsenal to avail the services of Benzema for a fee of £20m in the January window.

Meanwhile, Perez also spoke about his club’s interest in Radamel Falcao and hinted at his possible arrival in June next year. He said, “He (Falcao) won’t come in January but in June, who knows?”

“Nothing is impossible and there is a lot of time between now and then.Falcao is a great player and I am aware that he wants to play for (Real) Madrid. I am aware of that, but it’s normal. They told me.”
