After the loan move of Theo to Real Sociedad, Madrid have some business to do at the left back position. Madrid already have Fábio Coentrão back from a loan move, but he is highly doubtful to play as he was not at all involved in the pre-season and will most probably be sold or loaned out.
Although Sergio Reguilon impressed during pre-season, his lack of experience can force Madrid to look out for other options. Spanish newspaper AS is claiming that Madrid are interested in signing Marcos Alonso from Chelsea.
Apart from the left back situation, Madrid may be in for a new center back after the injury to Jesus Vallejo.
