Chelsea closing in on two signings
The reigning English champions are set to land two more new faces in the matter of the next few days, the Daily Mirror understands. Danny Drinkwater of Leicester City is expected to be a Chelsea player soon with both the parties agreeing on a £30 million plus add-ons fee for the midfielder. Inter Milan have also accepted a £25 million bid for wing back, Antonio Candreva. The duo are expected to arrive in London in the next week and will be available for selection after the international break.
Liverpool have not yet received a fourth bid for Philippe Coutinho
Amidst reports of a £138 million offer for the Brazilian playmaker, sources close to the Reds can reveal that the club has not yet received any such bid from FC Barcelona. James Pearce of the Liverpool Echo also said that even if Barcelona make such bid, the club hierarchy will instantly reject it just as the other bids in the past. Barcelona reportedly had tabled a bid where they would have paid Liverpool a sum of £101 million up front and the remaining sum in performance related bonuses.
