Manchester United have completed the signing of Dillon Hoogewerf from Ajax

While Manchester United continue to be linked to Ajax skipper Matthijs de Ligt, they have snatched one of Ajax's brightest young stars from their famous youth academy.

16-year-old Dillon Hoogewerf confirmed his move to the Red Devils through his Instagram account on June 1. The talented teenager is known for his exciting set of attacking skills, having scored 10 goals and notched 6 assists for the Ajax U-17 side this season.

Dillon Hoogewerf had been linked with a move to the Premier League giants in the recent past.

Manchester United also announced the transfer via their twitter account with a short 16-second video. The Red Devils will pay an undisclosed fee as a compensation fee for his services.

Hoogewerf will start his career at Manchester United with the reserves from the next season.
