What’s the story?
Real Madrid have not had a good start to the season and Zidane is furious. The manager would have to make quick changes to ensure that club is still challenging for the title at the end of the season and he's ready to make some major changes.
As per reports in the Express today, Zidane is set to ask the Madrid board to make a squad reshuffle in January. The manager wants to sell SIX players in the coming transfer window and add fresh faces.
Reports suggest that the players who are set to be sold are Marcos Llorente, Kiko Casilla, Achraf, Vallejo, Bale and Luka Modric. The players are not of Madrid's standards as per the manager and he's not willing to work with them anymore.
In case you didn’t know...
Real Madrid are third in the league table right now. Not a bad position to be in but the fact that they are TEN points behind Barcelona is a major concern.
They have also fallen behind Tottenham Hotspur in the Champions League group standings after they lost to the Premier League side at Wembley last month.
The heart of the matter
Zidane wants to make things clear to the squad that no one is safe. Not a single player is guaranteed a starting role nor are they going to be at the club if they do not put in enough efforts.
Apart from Marcos Llorente, Kiko Casilla, Achraf, Vallejo, Bale and Luka Modric, the report suggests that the manager is also willing to loan out Lucas Vazquez and Dani Ceballos.

Author’s Take
Selling SIX players would be a very hard decision but the manager knows best. However, with that said, it's practically difficult for Madrid to do that in January. No club will be willing to sell their best players in the winter transfer window and Los Blancos will find if difficult to replace the sold stars.
