Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane has stated that he can’t envisage a Real Madrid without Raphael Varane. The young defender has been linked with a move away from the Bernabeu as he doesn’t seem to be too happy with the Blancos.

However, Zidane does not want to see a Real Madrid team without his compatriot as he is a great player. He also stated that Varane plays for the best club in the world and that the World Cup-winner hasn’t informed anything to Zidane as of yet.

"I don't want a Madrid without Varane. He's a young player, he's been here for eight years, he's doing fine." Zidane said.

"There are many things that come out [in the press]. He didn't say anything to me."

"He's at the best club in the world and he knows it, he's won a lot of things.”
