#2 Emery denies Navas links
Unai Emery has opened up about the possibility of the Gunners signing Keylor Navas in the winter market. The Costa Rican has fallen out of favour ever since Thibaut Courtois joined the Santiago Bernabeu in the summer.
Initially, the Belgian was the first choice ‘keeper in the league while the former Levante star was defending the sticks in the cup competitions – including the Champions League.
However, the World Cup Golden Glove winner seems to have taken the lead from the Real Madrid number 1 even in the premier competition of Europe. But Emery has poured cold water on the stories linking Navas to Arsenal, claiming that he is happy with his current ‘keepers.
“Not true,” he said in response to Navas rumours. “We never speak about one goalkeeper because I think – and it’s true – we are very happy with the three goalkeepers we have now. We’ve never spoken about Keylor Navas.”
