James set to return
Back in 2017, James Rodriguez was loaned out to Bayern Munich for two years with the Bavarians having a chance to sign him for around €40 million. After two rather indifferent seasons, in which he showed glimpses of his genius, Bayern have decided against purchasing him outright.
This decision was made by the player himself and Bayern CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge revealed that James won’t be signed because he wishes not to be.
"He told me in a private meeting that he would ask the club not to activate the buyout clause,” he said.
As a result, James is now set to return to Madrid where he will once again reunite with Zinedine Zidane. However, it is unsure whether he would stay with the Galacticos as Zidane might not be too keen to keep him, especially given how the Frenchman sanctioned his loan in the first place.
