Christian Eriksen is on Madrid's radar

Journalist Graham Hunter has shed light on Madrid’s supposed pursuit of Christian Eriksen. The Dane is yet to sign a new deal with the Lilywhites and it seems like the Galacticos are willing to utilize it as his existing contract ends in 2020.

And Hunter believes that the Merengues have made the former Ajax star their top priority. He thinks that despite Spurs chairman Daniel Levy being a tough negotiator, Eriksen’s contractual situation gives Madrid and the player an advantage over the Lilywhites.

"There is no question whatsoever that Real Madrid see Christian Eriksen as the perfect signing," said Hunter. "They would like to add him to their squad this summer.

"I think everybody respects the way that (Tottenham chairman) Daniel Levy conducts his transfer negotiations, but the power is always with the player and the buying club when a contract is running down in the way that Eriksen's contract is at Tottenham.”
