“Neymar will move to Real Madrid only after the London Olympics”, this is the latest statement coming out from the Neymar’s camp. The 19 year old hot-shot’s agent, Wagner Ribeiro has advised him to stay with Santos till the next summer and then move to Europe.
The Brazilian youngster has been speculated on a move to Real Madrid this season after relentless persuasion from the Spanish Giants. The boy also announced his desire to join the Spanish club, but his present club Santos managed to retain him to play the Club World Cup for them in December. That left him with the possibility to move to Real in January when the winter transfer window opens.
Acording to Ribeiro, Real is reluctant to procure Neymar in the middle of the season in January as that would disturb their settled squad and it would not be good for the boy either.
“It will not work out in the winter transfer window, because they do not want the player with the team already built,” said Wagner Ribeiro
“It will be hard for him to leave in January; it would not be good for him, nor for the club who buy him.
“Our prediction is that he stays until July of 2012 and leaves after the Olympic Games, because he would arrive at his new club for the pre-season.”
So with the winter transfer of Neymar being ruled out for the moment, it is quite likely that many more clubs will join the race to procure the youngsters service when the summer transfer window opens next year once again. Barcelona, who showed keen interest to sign him are prepared to wait.
