Real Madrid Transfer News: PSG Enter The Race To Sign Kaka

Not short of money, Qatar Investment Authority owned French Ligue 1 side Paris Saint-Germain have emerged as surprised suitors for Real Madrid’s Brazilian playmaker Ricardo Kaka.

On his way out of the Bernabeu?

Kaka, a €68.5M signing from AC Milan, failed to reciprocate his form at Madrid and poor form, coupled with frequent injuries and advent of new players has seen him shift down the pecking order at Real Madrid. The influential playmaker has mustered just 39 league appearances for the Los Blancos since joining them in 2009.

Sky Sports Italia claim PSG sporting director Leonardo is working on a deal to bring his compatriot to the Parc des Princes before the transfer deadline closes on August 31. Backed by their new owners, Leonardo has already brought in eight new players, including Palermo’s Javier Pastore, at a combined cost of €84million, smashing Ligue 1′s previous record of €77.5million that Lyon spent in the summer of 2009.

Kaka was left on the bench for both legs of Real’s Supercopa clash with Barcelona this past week leading him to finally acknowlede that his future may lie elsewhere. Former club AC Milan and London based club Chelsea are more than eager to sign the 2007 Ballon d’Or winner.
