When Zinedine Zidane announced his resignation from Real Madrid, it shattered the Galacticos. They had just lost the manager who had led them to three successive Champions League titles after taking over from Rafa Benitez.

And now, Don Balon seem to have found out the reason of the Frenchman’s departure. According to the report, Zidane had asked Florentino Perez for a huge cleanup of the squad that included the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Isco, Ramos, Varane, Bale and Marcelo.

Perez, however, refused, leading to his departure.

Meanwhile, Independent claim that Real Madrid have contacted Christian Eriksen’s party over a possible deal to bring the Dane to the Santiago Bernabeu. Eriksen hasn’t shown any interest in extending his contract which ends in 2020, which might force Spurs to sell him for £100 million.
