Real Madrid Transfer News: Zidane confirms Gareth Bale will leave Real Madrid, says it's nothing personal
The writing seemed to be on the wall for the former Tottenham golden boy as he was not included in the game-day roster and also not seen near the pitch before and during the match. In the build up to Los Blancos' first match of the preseason, rumors swirled that with Zidane's return as head coach, Bale was on the chopping block. Yet the Frenchman stated in his pre-match press conference that Bale was a "Real Madrid player". Twenty-four hours later however, the legendary midfielder changed his tune, declaring if Bale leaves Real Madrid tomorrow, "that's better."
