Isco is one of Real Madrid's main men right now

Isco could have played for Barcelona

Isco considered joining Barcelona during his contract stand-off with Real Madrid but soon backed off when he came to know of Lionel Messi's involvement in the club's transfer policy, reports Diario Gol.

The report claims Isco met with the Barca president Josep Maria Bartomeu and was told that the club would be built around Messi for many seasons to follow and Isco will only play the second fiddle to the Argentine.

Isco wanted to play for a team with a winning mentality and given Real Madrid's dominance in La Liga and Champions League recently, the player decided to stay at Bernabeu.

Isco has recently signed a new contract with the Los Blancos which will keep him at the club until 2022 and has a release clause of €700million. It'll be interesting to see if PSG will want to trigger that.

The duo have won 2 Champions League titles together

Real Madrid playmaker Luka Modric has advised his teammate and good friend Gareth Bale to consider a move to Manchester United next season to revive his career.

According to Don Balon, Modric understands that Bale is struggling in Spain after the fans have called to snub him from the starting XI and instead play Isco or Marco Asensio.

Manchester United have never ended their interest in Bale since Sir Alex Ferguson's days with Jose Mourinho still keen on signing the Welshman.

Given the current circumstances, Modric has asked Bale to consider a move to Old Trafford next season and be the main man for Mourinho's team.

Perez in talks with Alexis Sanchez

Arsenal FC v 1. FC Koeln - UEFA Europa League
Arsenal and Alexis are a broken marriage now

According to reports from Diario Gol, Alexis Sanchez's move to Santiago Bernabeu has drawn a step closer as the club President Florentino Perez has held talks with the player's representatives.

Perez is unimpressed by Karim Benzema's recent form and feels he has to bring new players in January if Real Madrid want to retain their Champions League crown.

Earlier in the week, reports surfaced of Alexis willing to take a pay cut to force a move to La Liga Champions and with Perez getting involved in the transfer, this signing looks more than a mere possibility now.

Arsenal have failed with all their attempts of agreeing a contract extension with the Chilean. They have been linked with a January move for AS Monaco's Thomas Lemar amid the certain exit of Alexis Sanchez.
