The transfer rumour mill is blowing at full flow as Marca reports that Real Madrid have secured the first option for Borussia Dortmund trio, Julian Weigl, Ousmane Dembele and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. The good relationships between the two clubs mean that the Galacticos will be informed before the Ruhr club sell one of these star players to any other club.
Recently, Borussia Dortmund did the same with Ilkay Gundogan as they asked the Merengues whether they were looking to sign their former midfielder before selling him off to Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City in the summer.
It seems as though that the performances of the trio have impressed the Whites as they have asked the German club for the first option for them. Aubameyang scored a cracking goal against the Whites at the Bernabeu and has constantly expressed his desire to play for the Bernabeu outfit because of a promise he made to his grandfather.
The Gabonese international is one of the best strikers out there and it would be interesting to see whether Florentino Perez would want to make a move for him when the time comes, especially given that the club already possesses talented and budding strikers like Alvaro Morata and Mariano Diaz.
Meanwhile, Dembele has been a revelation for the Signal Iduna Park outfit with his mesmerizing display of skills week-in and week-out. It is believed that his outstanding performances against Real Madrid, where he seemingly caused a lot of trouble against an experienced defence with his astute dribbling ability, have caught the attention of the top-ranked hierarchy of the club.
Finally, for all the flashiness of Aubameyang and Dembele, it is Julian Weigl whose tenacious work in midfield has allowed Tuchel’s men to tick thus far. The German midfielder is a complete package as he guards the defence with his steely presence and sets the tempo for his team with crisp passing.
Madrid closing in on ‘next Zlatan’ Alexander Isak
Marca also reported that the Blancos are closing in on a move for Swedish starlet, Alexander Isak, who has been dubbed as the next Zlatan Ibrahimovic by many in the Swedish media. The young Swede has a 6’2” forward who is known for his tremendous physical strength and marauding physical presence inside the box.
As a matter of fact, according to the Expressen, Real Madrid have had a €10.7 million bid rejected for the player, but they don’t seem like stopping as, according to Marca, the player visited Real Madrid’s training ground, Valdebebas, to check out the facilities of the 11-time Champions League winners.
