Manchester City to sign Alexis Sanchez for free next summer
After being dejected by Arsenal's ineffectiveness to agree upon a deal for Alexis Sanchez on deadline day, Manchester City will now aim to sign Alexis Sanchez next summer for free. The Daily Mirror reports that a deal was close but Arsenal's failure to sign Thomas Lemar caused the deal to fall through. Pep Guardiola has been in touch with the Chilean and has assured Sanchez that his side will sign him next summer.
Ross Barkley changed his mind after having a medical at Chelsea
The Guardian has claimed that Chelsea and Everton had struck a deal for £35 million for the sale of wantaway midfielder Ross Barkley. The Englishman then underwent a medical with the Blues but soon changed his mind. Everton's major shareholder Farhan Moshiri said, "The two clubs agreed a deal of £35m, I think personal terms were agreed and, after the medical, we heard from Paul Martin, his agent, that he Barkley had changed his mind."
