Real Valladolid and Villarreal get round nine of La Liga underway when they square off at the José Zorrilla Stadium on Saturday. Paulo Pezzolano’s men have failed to win their last four home games against the Yellow Submarine and will head into the weekend looking to end this poor run.

Real Valladolid picked up a much-needed victory last weekend when they fought back from behind to secure a 3-2 win over 10-man Alaves at the Estadio de Mendizorroza.

Villarreal have enjoyed a solid start to the 2024-25 La Liga campaign, picking up 18 points from 10 matches to sit fourth in the table, two points off third-placed Atletico Madrid.
