#6. Everton
The Toffees have done serious transfer business this time around. But their record signing came in 2017/18 campaign. Everton signed Gylfi Sigurdsson for £45million from Swansea. But he has not been anywhere near his best since joining Everton. He is known for his set-piece taking ability and ability to provide assists.
#7. Tottenham Hotspurs
Tottenham Hotspur signed Davinson Sanchez from Ajax for a reported club-recorded fee of £40 million in 2017. The Columbian signed a six-year deal with Spurs and has extended his stay until 2024 season. Sanchez has cemented his position beside veteran defender Jan Vertonghen. He will surely hope to win titles with this team.
#8. West Ham
West Ham signed Felipe Anderson from Lazio for a club-record £35 million. Anderson became the sixth signing of the season for West Ham in 2018. The Hammers are rebuilding their team under veteran manager Manuel Pellegrini. Anderson is known for his speed in the midfield and has the ability to create as well as score some goals.
#9. Crystal Palace
In 2017, Crystal Palace signed Christian Benteke from Liverpool for an initial fee of £27 million with £5 million in add-ons. He scored 3 goals and provided 5 assists in 31 games last season. He was awarded 6 Yellow cards last season that is twice the number of goals he scored.
The Belgian striker has struggled to find his feet in the Crystal Palace squad. A major flop in our opinion.
#10. Leicester
Leicester signed Islam Slimani from Sporting Lisbon in 2016 for a club record £29 million. Slimani had fantastic stats before joining Leicester, scoring 31 times in 46 games. But Slimani could not adapt to Premier League football, scoring 8 goals and 5 assists in two seasons spent at Leicester. The Algerian is now at Fernebache and is looking to revive his career.
