The highly-rated midfielder moved to PL after his successful stint at OGC Nice. Eddie Howe's Bournemouth signed Jefferson Lerma from Spanish side Levante. The Columbian midfielder played 4 matches in the recent World Cup. Jefferson is a defensive midfielder who has played for Levante and Athletico Huila. Lerma beats Nathan Ake's old club-record transfer fee paid to Chelsea. The Cherries will rely on his ability to score 1 or 2 odd goals.

Michael Owen, yes, you read it right. Newcastle signed Michel Owen from Real Madrid in 2005/06 season for £16 million. Nobody knows why has this record stood for more than a decade? Owen played for a plethora of great teams such as Liverpool and Real Madrid. Owen scored 150 goals from his 326 PL appearances. He also played for Manchester United.

Watford sign Burnley striker Andre Gray for a club-record fee - thought to be around 18.5 million in 2017. Gray was a prolific scorer in the Championship scoring 23 goals and providing 8 assists in 41 Apps for Burnley.
