The newly promoted Wolves side signed Adama Traore from Middlesbrough for a club record fee of £18 million. Traore is a product of Barcelona's youth academy. The winger is known for his pace and confidence on the pitch. Very strong dribbler, good shooter and likes to cross the ball. Traore needs to perform for the Wolves to survive in the Premier League.
#17. Huddersfield
Huddersfield has brought back Terrence Kongolo from Monaco for £18 million after a brief loan spell at Kirklees stadium. Kongolo is Dutch defender. A strong defender who likes to tackle and intercept the ball. Passing the ball can be considered one of his weaknesses.
Kongolo was not a regular in the Monaco squad and hence signed a permanent deal for Huddersfield.
#18. Brighton
Brighton signed Alireza Jahanbakhsh from Dutch side AZ Alkmaar for a club-record fee of around £17 million. The Iranian midfielder is a regular in the Iran National squad. He had a fabulous season in Eredivisie, scoring 21 goals and providing 12 assists in 33 Apps. Can he repeat his exploits in the Premier League?
#19. Burnley
Burnley signed Ben Gibson from Middlesbrough for a club joint-record fee of £15 million. Gibson is a product of Middlesbrough academy and captained Middlesbrough in 2017/18 season. Gibson was a regular starter of Middlesbrough side and was their anchor in the middle of the pitch. Burnley will hope to strengthen their midfield with his arrival.
#20. Cardiff
Cardiff City signed Gary Medel from Sevilla for a club record fee of £13 million in 2012/13 season. Medel is a Chile International who has played for teams such as Inter Milan and Besiktas.
A defensive midfielder with a great eye for interceptions. Unfortunately, he could not settle in the PL and was transferred to Inter Milan next season itself.
It is to be noted that 8 out of 20 Premier League teams have broken their previous transfer-fee record this season.
