“I haven’t heard anything from Chelsea that’s for sure, no one has ever mentioned Chelsea to me.”
Asked about the link with Chelsea, Redknapp told Sky Sports News: “Well I have got a great job at Tottenham, things are going well for me.
“I have had a couple of great years it couldn’t have gone better for me there.
“I haven’t heard anything from Chelsea that’s for sure, no one has ever mentioned Chelsea to me.
“It’s not the first I have heard of it, someone said to me today your name got mentioned on TV, well I said I’ve never heard nothing at all so it’s all news to me.”
Good Old Harry, lifting his skirt in all its glory so Roman can get a good look at his legs.As some may have noticed, although I think I hide it quite well, I’ve had enough of Harry and his endless droning, his constant putting down of the fans and most of all his inability to grasp that this season has been a failure.
Apparently anyone who questions him is of course an idiot. Well that would include some of his players then
Exhibit One: Tommy Huddlestone
“This season has been disappointing,” Huddlestone said.“You want to better yourself every year. We are a few points (eight) behind where we were last season and we’ve scored less goals, which is also a disappointment.
“This season was a learning curve for us. We weren’t used to having to play massive games in the Champions League.
“Our main objective next season has got to be to finish in the top four again. As Manchester City have shown, if you are consistent towards the end of the season then you might be able to finish in the top three.”
Exhibit Two: Billy Gallas
“Even if people say ‘you had a great season’, I don’t think so,” said Gallas.
“To get to the quarter-finals of the Champions League at the first attempt was amazing for Tottenham but everybody is upset because we got nothing at the end. When we play against the small teams, maybe – I say maybe – we thought we had won before we played, so perhaps that’s the mistake we made.
“We dropped too many points against Blackpool, Wolves and West Ham.
“If we play a big team, like Manchester United, Chelsea or Arsenal, we know they will be very hard to beat, so when we arrive in the dressing room we are ready for the fight.
“It will be harder next year. Liverpool are really, really strong and playing good football, so now it will be between maybe five or six teams to qualify for the Champions League.
“I am sure all the players are very upset. You feel so good in the Champions League and you get the chance to compete against the best in Europe. Because next season we will not play in that competition, it will be difficult for us to watch it on TV.
“We made too many mistakes but now we know which mistakes we made, it will not be good if we make the same ones again.
“We need to have a good pre-season, to speak together and be ready when the season starts. Because Tottenham want to be a big club, we have to be back in the Champions League.”
Harry I have to say I agree with you. Tommy and Billy are a bunch of frigging idiots, how dare they criticise and think the team should be doing better because after all according to you:
“what do they expect, that we finish above Man Utd, Chelsea, Arsenal and Man City, this is as good as it gets”
So for the club where the legendary Bill Nick (RIP) once said this about our standards:
“It is better to fail aiming high than to succeed aiming low. And we of Spurs have set our sights very high… so high, in fact, that even failure will have in it an echo of glory!”
We have gone to being glad if we finish above the likes of Man City, Arsenal and Chelsea?I wander what our chairman makes of this? As far as I am concerned Redknapp is now directly goading our fans. If Roman Abramovich is idiotic enough to offer a deal for Harry, please get rid of him and get Ancellotti in. Or Boas, or Coyle, or Hughes. This is an opportunity we can’t miss.
