Even though Arsenal are currently sitting top of the league table, there are still some concerns whether they can hold on to that spot with all the injuries and squad depth issues. Arsenal are looking to add one or two world class players in January to solve these issues and boost their title chances.

Recently, German stars Rues and Draxler were linked with a possible January move to the Emirates. Now, the latest reports from Spain suggest that Arsenal are planning a sensational £46 million bid for Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema. Wenger is a long term admirer of the French forward’s talent and will do his best to convince him to join the Gunners, as he did with Ozil.

Real Madrid fans booing Benzema during the match against Getafe added more fuel to these rumours suggesting that he may leave the Spanish capital soon.

SportsDirect News stated, “Karim getting booed is not new – he has been singled out before. However, now he looked destroyed as he went off after being substituted. Arsenal have been monitoring the situation and so a January sale could be on.”

It is also believed that Real Madrid will sell Benzema only after they get a proper replacement for him in the market. Luiz Suarez is rumoured to be their main target. It’s known news that Arsenal tried for Suarez in the summer transfer window. But will Arsenal try to sign Suarez again is an interesting question that needs to be asked.
