A report featured in this afternoon's media indicates that Jose Mourinho had made a decision to bring back Thibaut Courtois as our number one Goalkeeper and as a result, Petr Cech is up for sale! Many of us have sat back and watched the progress of Courtois and wondered what would happen this summer especially as Petr Cech has had another good season and has broken the record for the most clean sheets at Chelsea.Could Chelsea decide to keep him in Madrid for another season and bring him back with just a year remaining on his contract next summer? Could the reported interest from major clubs in Europe force Chelsea into making a decision to sell him or, could we see Chelsea look to bring in him back in an open battle between the two for the number one next term?Well it seems that a decision has been made and it looks like Mourinho is going to turn to Courtois as he looks to build a team for the future.I personally believe that this decision if true would be because Chelsea are more than wary that Courtois has only two years left on his contract. If they bring him back this summer and make him our number one, he has another good season and settles into playing in England and the Premier League, then he would be more inclined to sign a new deal. At the moment, he only has first team experience in La Liga!So what of Cech if these reports are correct? Another who will go down in history up there with the greatest in his position and someone who has won everything there is to win at the club.To ask him to play second fiddle to Courtois in this stage of his career would be tough to take and he deserves to be number one even if it's not at Chelsea.Would Cech be up for the battle? Maybe, just maybe, he would relish the chance to go head to head with Courtois and face some decent competition at the club for a change because let's face it, once Carlo Cudicini left the club, the shirt has been his with little to worry about.
