Irina Shayk and Cristiano Ronaldo dated for 5 years before their recent split

Cristiano Ronaldo’s ex-girlfriend Irina Shayk claims that the Real Madrid superstar cheated on her which eventually led them to split up.

The pair ended their five-year-relationship after she saw messages on his phone from a ‘dozen of girls’ across the world according to The Sun.

All sorts of rumours were floating around when the two had a high profile split-up and it was believed that they had parted ways amicably.

But the report is suggesting that it was Irina who dumped Ronaldo rather than a mutual decision of going their separate ways.

The British tabloid ran the story in which it claimed that "The Russian model, 29, ended their five-year relationship after finding out about messages from the Real Madrid star, 30, to dozens of women around the world. Ronaldo confessed to his girlfriend after a furious row on New Year’s Eve."

The article claims that the model apparently made this confession to someone who was close to the couple following the exposé.

“Now I know the truth and I feel completely betrayed. I trusted him and stuck up for him when there were rumours he had been with other women. I feel stupid that Cristiano has fooled me,” Irina said, as reported by the newspaper.

The Sun also claimed that the 29-year-old has moved on and is currently dating Hollywood actor Bradley Cooper.
