What’s the story?
Real Madrid president Florentino Perez is not a fan of Manchester United star, Paul Pogba and is not willing to sign the player that is admired and wanted by Zinedine Zidane, according to El Confidencial.
In case you didn’t know…
The French midfielder has been linked with a move to Real Madrid ever since Zidane took over. In fact, he recently claimed: “Like I’ve always said, Real Madrid is a dream for anyone. It’s one of the biggest clubs in the world.”
The heart of the matter
However, it seems as though Pogba’s ‘dream’ might not come true as Florentino Perez is strongly opposed to the signing. For starters, he would cost in excess of €150 million and the club would also have to pay a high commission to his agent Mino Raiola, which makes the deal not worth it for Perez as he thinks that there are other options who could be bought for far less.
While the Galacticos think that he is an interesting player, they are not sure as to whether he could win the Ballon d’Or and be the face of the club for years to come.
As a result, Madrid are eying alternatives in the form of Christian Eriksen and Adrien Rabiot.

Rumour rating: 7/10
It wouldn’t be surprising to think that this report is accurate as Florentino Perez is not really a fan of how Mino Raiola handles things. As a result, a move for Paul Pogba looks very difficult at the moment.
What’s next?
Real Madrid are readying themselves for a revamp in the summer. A lot of signings are expected while a lot of departures could happen too. We would have to until the summer window to know whether the French World Cup winner actually makes it to the Bernabeu.
