According to a report by the Spanish newspaper SPORT, Marco Verratti is speculated to be Real Madrid’s prime target for the summer transfer window. Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Verratti had a fruitful season this year and has captured the interests of the Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane who is said to be very fond of the PSG man.
But whether Real will get a deal done is still doubtful as Verratti had earlier mentioned that he wanted to stay at the Parc de Princes for the upcoming season. PSG have tried to scare off probable bidders for Verratti by slapping a £59million price tag on their star midfielder as he is considered a vital squad member by many critics.

Owing to his accuracy on the pitch, he has been dubbed as the new ‘Andrea Pirlo’ and has had a spectacular season with PSG. Though he made considerably fewer appearances this season compared to the last, his pass success ratio increased by 1.6 percent to a whopping 93 percent in Ligue 1 and 94.8 percent in the Champions League.
With an average of 1.4 key interceptions per match, he also has 3 assists from the 11 appearances he made for PSG.
Chelsea were also reportedly looking to sign the 23-year-old as an addition to its midfield with Fabregas rumoured to make a move in the summer transfer window. Besides, with Nemanja Matic suffering a major dip in form, Chelsea could really use the skills of the defensive midfielder to get back into the game after a disastrous season.
This could also be an exchange trade as reports had surfaced earlier that Chelsea were considering a deal with PSG over the sale of their attacking midfielder Oscar. Though the Ligue 1 giants are more interested in signing Willian, Oscar could be a very efficient addition to their attacking squad.
The 24-year-old is widely regarded as a key player for Chelsea, though, his performance wasn’t the most satisfactory this season.
It is also widely speculated that the French Champions are also set to approach Manchester United in a bid to sign Anthony Martial, who had displayed exceptional form this season, having scored 10 goals in his first Premier League campaign.
With star striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic on his way out of the club, PSG will now be on the lookout for big names that could lead their attack as they hope to improve on their quarter-final Champions League spot next season.
