Always looking to find the perfect foil for Lionel Messi, but still to find it despite numerous big money signings, Barcelona according to The Metro are ready to make a move for former Atletico Madrid striker Sergio Aguero.
The Metro reported last week that Aguero was considering his future at Manchester City and the Catalan giants could be ready to pounce on the man with 4 league goals to compliment his 70% shot accuracy this season.
Barcelona fans have seen plenty of forwards come in over the past few seasons with only Pedro and David Villa making a lasting impression on the club. With Villa now finding his feet at Atletico Madrid after an injury saw him play a bit-part role last season, the La Liga giants are looking for a replacement to compliment Messi in their attack.
Last season saw none of the remaining forwards on Barcelona’s books reach double figures (only Fabregas got into double figures) in the league for goals scored and this is a cause for concern for the club who have often been said to rely on Messi’s goals a little too much.
