With Chelsea’s midfield giant Cesc Fabregas making clear of his disinterest in ever returning to Barcelona, rumours have surfaced indicating a surprise move by the 29-year-old to Real Madrid. According to the Spanish magazine Don Balon, Eden Hazard and David de Gea are also among the club’s top targets. Though it is yet to be confirmed whether the current Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane would continue, he seems to have already decided on his targets for the summer transfer window.
Fabregas had struggled for consistency across the season at Chelsea and would be a good replacement for James Rodriguez as he had been linked with a shocking transfer to Manchester United for a British club record sum of £60 million for quite some time now.
Real Madrid had signed James Rodriguez for a sum of £63 million from Monaco in 2014 and the deal with Manchester United was offered by his current agent Jorge Mendes. The 24-year-old had lost his place in Real’s starting squad owing to his relatively feeble form this season.

Fabregas, in all probability, would be a surplus player according to the requirements of Antonio Conte, who is set to take over as boss in the coming season. He has played 68 matches for Chelsea and has scored seven goals for the Blues. The player had only seven assists and five goals to his name in the Premier League campaign.
Real Madrid have also reportedly offered a contract to Riyad Mahrez owing to his exceptional season with Leicester City. Mahrez is now regarded as one of the most efficient attackers after arriving at Leicester as an unknown quantity and would be a good recruit for the Spanish club considering the club’s pace based play style.
However, Mahrez had previously stated that he would like to stay in England and this had made the likes of Arsenal, Manchester United, Manchester City and Liverpool hopeful of a transfer deal from the 25-year-old.
France Football claims that the Spanish giants are currently leading the chase after offering him a deal to make him the latest Galactico signing at the Bernabeu.
Though not confirmed, this deal would be a controversial game changer for both Real and Fabregas considering his former tryst with their arch-rivals Barcelona. Fabregas had also turned down a big-money deal from China recently.
