What's the story?
Real Madrid and Barcelona often go head to head as they often do in the transfer market and usually when the two are it, most clubs let them at it without trying to interfere - I mean, how could anyone trump Real Madrid AND Barcelona?
Juventus, though, are not just anyone.
Serie A winners six times in a row, the Bianconeri are brilliant negotiators who always seem to know just how to pay to get their man - how else can you explain them getting Blaise Matuidi for a million pounds less than Everton got Harry Maguire?
So, when Juve are on the hunt, its safe to say that even Real Madrid and Barcelona ought to be on their toes. With both Spanish giants behind Kepa Arrizabalaga - and with Real apparently having gotten the upper hand - Juventus have stepped in to become favourites to the signature of the young Basque shot-stopper if reports in Calciomercato have to be believed.,
In case you didn't know
Gianluigi Buffon is close to retiring, after having already stepped down from the national side after the great disappointment of missing out on his sixth World Cup, and while Juventus have Polish keeper Wojciech Szcz?sny as a back-up to the Italian legend, they are a club with one eye on the future and believe that Arrizabalaga would be an ideal long-term replacement.
The heart of the matter
Kepa Arrizabalaga is one of the most promising goalkeepers in world football at the moment, and with him refusing to sign a new contract, Athletic's management seem to be resigned to the fact that they will lose their gem, and Juve are banking on the fact that they would much rather sell to an Italian club than to either of their Spanish rivals.

Lad's got talent, doesn't he?
