According to various reports in the media, Manchester United are looking to offer Mexican striker Javier ‘Chicharito’ Hernandez as a part of a swap deal for Southampton defender Nathaniel Clyne.
England international Clyne has been a potential target for all the big Premier League clubs after a couple of impressive seasons at Southampton. The 24 year old England international has now made 87 appearances for the Saints and is all set to make a move this summer.
Southampton have put a price tag which is reportedly £20 million as Clyne has his eyes set on Champions League football next season.
With Chelsea’s growing interest in the player as a back-up for their current full-backs, Manchester United are all set to offer the services of their Mexican striker in a swap deal.
Chicharito, who is currently struggling on loan at Real Madrid will be offered as a part of the transfer deal as United are confident it will boost their chances to get a deal done in the summer.
Having lost his place at Manchester United, Mexican striker will look to take this opportunties with both hands as he will get a chance to play regular Premier League football again.
The 26-year old striker has just made 2 La Liga starts for Madrid this season and a permanent move to Southampton will be ideal to ressurect his career.
