What’s the rumour?
As per reports from Daily Mail, Manchester United are favourites to land Watford's Richarlison. Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain are also in pursuit of the winger.
In case you didn't know...
Richarlison has enjoyed a good debut season with Watford after moving from Fluminese for £11 million. The 20-year-old has managed to put in great performances, particularly in the first-half of the season and has garnered the attention of the bigger clubs.
He can play on either flank and has the natural flair that comes with all Brazilians. He has 5 goals and as many assists in 34 Premier League games this season and has been Watford's go-to man when things looked tough this season.
He has a contract till 2022 and is currently valued at around £40 million by Watford.
The heart of the matter
Manchester United lack a proper right winger at the moment and Mourinho has tinkered with his selection all season. The likes of Juan Mata, Jesse Lingard and Marcus Rashford have all been deployed there but none have been able to perform consistently well.
As a result, Mourinho may look to sign suitable players ahead of the new season. Richarlison has caught his eye and as per the report, United are leading the race to sign him, ahead of Baayern and PSG.

Author’s take
Mourinho has enough firepower within his ranks and the addition of another winger may cause further discontent with the likes of Anthony Martial and Rashford who are clear fan-favourites.
So it will be best for Mourinho to work-out a system that can get the best out of them. But, on the other hand, Watford may just allow him to leave if a suitable and substantial offer comes in that meets their valuation.
