Former Arsenal forward Nicklas Bendtner move to Bundesliga club Eintracht Frankfurt collapsed over his 'unrealistic' bonus demands during the transfer negotiation.
The Danish striker reportedly asked for £30,000 bonus per point Frankfurt scores in his transfer negotiation with the German club.
It would mean the striker proposed a £90,000 bonus on every Frankfurt win - an amount that is more than double his proposed basic weekly wage of £40,000.
So even if Frankfurt endure a mediocre season with a total of 40 points on the table, they were supposed to shell out £1.2 million as an annual bonus to the 26-year-old striker.
It wasn't surprising when the German club pulled the plug on the deal leaving Bendtner with not many options to move in the current transfer window.
After Bendtner's instagram antics last week, a move to Germany always looked difficult for the player. Now, thanks to these bizarre wage demands, Frankfurt have decided to permanently end all the transfer talks with Bendtner's agent Tom Brooks.
