Arsenal and Liverpool’s lengthy chase of Toulouse right-back Serge Aurier could be coming to an end, after French giants Paris Saint-Germain expressed an interest in the Ivory Coast international, according to talkSPORT.
The attacking defender has been highly-sought after by a number of clubs and it was thought that Arsenal were leading the chase. Aurier shone at the World Cup for Ivory Coast, despite the African side exiting the competition at the group stages.
His brilliant attacking displays, coupled with his defensive work made him a stand-out target for a number of clubs. It was thought Arsene Wenger had agreed terms with Aurier and his employers Toulouse, however, he may have to look elsewhere for a replacement for Bacary Sagna.
Paris Saint-Germain have joined the race for Aurier and despite reported interest from QPR, the French giants have the money and the power to lure him to the capital.
PSG were interested in making a move for Barcelona right-back Dani Alves after reports emerged that he wanted to leave the capital of Spain. However, with Aurier proving a much cheaper signing and wanting less wages, the French side are now ready to bring the 21-year-old to the club.
