What’s the rumour?
As per reports from ESPN, Tottenham are considering a move for Leicester City winger Demarai Gray. Leicester refused to listen to offers last year and Spurs are ready to have another go this summer.
In case you didn't know...
Gray was signed by Leicester in January 2016 from Birmingham City. The player has shown glimpses of brilliance but has been confined to a bench role more often than not. The 21-year-old is capable of playing on either wing and can also slot in as a secondary striker.
He has made 39 appearances for the club this season and has scored 4 goals in the process. He also has pitched in with 3 assists. He is the current captain of the England Under-21s as well.
The heart of the matter
Spurs do lack genuine wingers in their squad and in order to compete for Europe's biggest prizes, their current depth is not good enough. They bought Lucas Moura in the January transfer window from Paris Saint-Germain and are looking to add Gray to their ranks as well.
Pochettino tried to sign the player last summer but Leicester were adamant on keep hold of him. He is seen as a player having huge potential and given Pochettino's liking for young players, they are likely to strongly pursue him.
Rumour rating/probability - 7/10
Some decent sources are reporting the same and Spurs' interest in the player may be true after all. It remains to be seen if Leicester will budge from their stand.

Author’s take
Gray has a contract till 2021 and Spurs may find it hard to persuade the club and the player to make the move. He is a gifted player who can thrive under Pochettino and will prove to be an excellent addition for Spurs if they can make it happen.
