Tottenham Hotspur are keeping tabs on Inter Milan star Ricardo Alvarez as they look to bolster their squad ahead of next season and are considering including Sandro in a swap deal.
Mauricio Pochettino, the new Spurs manager, is planning his summer spending spree and the Argentine has already identified Inter Milan’s Ricky Alvarez as someone who can help the Lilywhites next season. Tottenham’s interest in Alvarez has previously been reported, though the notion of Sandro going the other way represents a development in the story.
The 26-year-old attacking midfielder has been one of Inter’s main players in previous seasons and his stature has grown after some good performances in a weak Inter Milan side.
Alvarez was included in the Argentina squad for this summers World Cup and it is thought the chance to play under former Argentina international Mauricio Pochettino may tempt the midfielder to make the move.
However, the deal may include Sandro going the other way with the Brazilian set to leave the club this summer. Napoli have been keeping tabs on Spurs star Sandro and admitted their interest recently. However, Inter Milan may steal the march on the central midfielder with the Brazilian included in the deal for Alvarez.
Pochettino has been linked with a host of players since his switch to White Hart Lane. However, Alvarez is a genuine target according to the Express.
