Ridiculous Rumour of the Day: Barcelona to offer two players for Arsenal's Mesut Ozil

Today’s ridiculous rumour of the day is brought to you by Punto Pelotawhose regular guest, Francois Gallardo, claims that Barcelona are to offer two players – one being Pedro – for Arsenal star Mesut Ozil.

Pelota are known as a program that reports extraordinary rumours and often allows Gallardo to tell his transfer stories. He has labelled himself a ‘FIFA agent’, which is a false term and a fake job. However, he led the media to believe that John Terry was to sign for Valencia before speaking about how conversations were going between Terry and Turkish clubs.

Of course neither transfer happened, but now Pelota is claiming that Spanish giants Barcelona want former Real Madrid star Ozil.

One of the two players that Barcelona allegedly are willing to offer the north London club for their club transfer record German is Pedro – a highly valued and rated member of the Barca squad, making the suggestion very unlikely.

Gallardo is the Spanish ‘IndyKaila’ who I’m sure most of you are aware of from his Twitter account that constantly spews transfer rumours and false information.

There has been talk of Pedro possibly leaving Barcelona in recent times, but the idea that Arsenal would be prepared to let go of their £42.5m signing one year after purchasing him from Real Madrid is outrageous and incredibly unlikely.

Pedro has scored 15 goals from 25 starts in La Liga this season.
